Take a Virtual Tour of an Abilene D

Custom Homes

This Abilene D was recently constructed in Burnet County. The 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home features both beautiful design choices and smart customizations that truly bring the whole home together.

Custom Options and Alterations

This family made several changes to their home plan both inside and outside of the home, first of which was reversing the entire plan. On the exterior, they chose to implement a stone wainscot around the entire house, except the study and front porch which feature full stone from the ground up. They also added an attached 2-car side load garage to the right side of their home. Around back they opted to add a rear covered porch that spans the length of space between the master bedroom and bedroom 2 on the opposite side of the home.

Inside the home, the family chose to add stepped ceilings in both the master bedroom and family room, which truly opens up both spaces. In the kitchen, they upgraded to the farmhouse sink and also added stone underneath the kitchen bar. A fireplace in the family room and beautiful walk-in shower featuring a glassless design and tile all the way to the ceiling round out the major customizations made by this family.
