Building a new home is one of life’s most exciting journeys. It’s a process of turning a vision into a reality, one where every choice and every detail contributes to the final masterpiece. For the Moerbe Family in
Matagoria County, this journey was about more than just construction; it was about creating a space filled with love and memories from the very first day. We were honored to partner with them as they brought their beautiful custom
Arlington D home to life.
From the initial stake-out meeting to the final ribbon cutting, the Moerbes were involved in every step, infusing their home with personal touches that make it uniquely theirs. Their story is a wonderful example of how building a custom home is a heartfelt experience, culminating in a place where a family can truly flourish.
Designing a Dream: The Arlington D Floor Plan
The foundation of any great home is a floor plan that fits a family's lifestyle. The Moerbes chose our Arlington D plan, a design celebrated for its spacious and thoughtful layout. This 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is perfectly suited for both daily family life and entertaining guests.
The heart of the Moerbe’s home is its expansive open-concept living area. The stunning kitchen seamlessly flows into a large living room, creating a bright and airy space for the family to gather. To the left of the kitchen, a dedicated dining area provides the perfect spot for family meals and special occasions. This connected layout ensures that no one is ever far from the conversation, making it easy to cook, relax, and connect all in one inviting space.
Practical Elegance In The Kitchen
The Moerbe Family’s kitchen is thoughtfully designed for modern living and warm gatherings. Beyond its seamless connection to the living and dining area, it also features a large center island topped with beautiful white quartz, perfect for family meals and conversation. A deep farm-style sink sits beneath a window that looks out onto the front porch, letting in natural light and making it easy to see when friends or family have arrived. To keep everything tidy, a spacious walk-in pantry provides ample storage. It’s a practical luxury that makes daily routines smoother and more enjoyable in the heart of the home.

Living Room That Soars
The living room is a true showstopper. A dramatic vaulted ceiling instantly draws the eye upward, creating an incredible sense of space and light. Running through the center is a beautiful wood beam, which adds warmth, character, and a touch of rustic elegance. To enhance the cozy, timeless feel, they added an antique-style fireplace created with white limestone. This stunning addition serves as a perfect complement to the open, modern design, while adding charm and sophistication to the space.

A Master Suite Built for Relaxation
The master suite was designed to be a peaceful retreat. A key feature is the generous walk-in master closet, offering plenty of room for organization and storage. Adding to its charm, the suite boasts two large windows overlooking the backyard, flooding the space with natural light. This thoughtful design combines convenience, luxury, and a bright, welcoming atmosphere for the homeowners.

Unique and Durable Flooring
Throughout the main living areas, the Moerbes selected stained concrete floors. This choice offers a unique blend of industrial chic and warm elegance. Not only are the floors visually striking with their rich color and polished finish, but they are also incredibly durable and easy to maintain—a perfect choice for a busy family.

A Foundation of Love and Memories
What truly sets the Moerbe’s home apart are the personal moments they wove into the building process. They embraced our tradition of making the journey a memorable one, creating milestones long before they moved in.
During the slab pour, the family gathered to leave their handprints in the wet concrete, a touching gesture that permanently marks the foundation of their home with their presence. As the walls went up, the Moerbes took part in another cherished tradition, writing heartfelt messages, prayers, and well-wishes on the wooden studs. These "Notes of Love" are now sealed within the walls, forever surrounding their family with positivity. The journey culminated in a joyful ribbon-cutting ceremony, where the family officially marked the beginning of their new chapter in this special place—a celebration of a dream realized and a future ready to unfold.
