The La Salle Model in Huntsville
Having space makes everything easier, from hosting family holidays to raising your kids. If it’s space you crave, then the La Salle is perfect for you. It’s one of our largest homes, with nearly 800 square feet for entertaining between the open family room and large covered porch.
The family room sits at the center of the La Salle. It’s open to the kitchen on the right, and has floor-to-ceiling windows at the rear giving a view of the porch. The ceiling in both the family room and the porch can be vaulted, making them look like one connected space. Our setup also includes the optional fireplace, which makes for an elegant centerpiece to arrange your furniture around.
The kitchen is separated from the family room only by a standalone counter with a large eating bar. This setup gives you a space to prepare a meal without missing out on the action when you have company. At the end of the kitchen, a cheerful nook provides a place to enjoy breakfast and snacks. The dining room near the front entrance is a bit more closed off, giving you a quiet and intimate space to serve your meals.
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in the La Salle, including a master suite and a separate smaller suite. The master suite is on the left side at the rear of the home. It has a large bathroom with an enclosed toilet, two separated vanities, a soaking tub, and double walk-in closets. The master bathroom can be greatly expanded, merging the closets into one very large closet, and adding a grand walk-in shower.
On the opposite side of the home, the smaller suite has its own full bathroom and a walk-in closet. It’s next to a drop zone, which connects to the utility room and attached garage, and has a separate exit with a small covered porch. This suite is perfect to use for guests, or to give an older teen extra privacy and independence. The other two bedrooms are next to the master suite. They are connected by a hallway that leads into the family room, and have a shared bathroom.
For even more space, a second floor can be added to the La Salle. This adds a set of stairs to the drop zone, leading to a large bonus room. With a mini kitchen, a powder room, and a small closet, you can do a lot with this area. Our model has it set up with a small lounge area similar to a family room, a round table, and a desk at the window. It’s a nice, quiet place to relax, and gives you an extra place to spend time in private.
