Everything about the Driftwood is designed to inspire. From mornings on the porch to busy holidays with your relatives, you’ll find joy at every turn in your home.
At almost 350 square feet, the family room in the Driftwood is a spacious area where you’re sure to make lasting memories. It has a vaulted ceiling that extends out to the large covered porch in the rear. Natural light from the windows and double doors on the back wall brighten up the room. The recessed wall on the right side is a great place to put an entertainment center to focus your furniture around. Our model home in Georgetown features an optional fireplace as the centerpiece.
Open to the left side of the family room is the Driftwood’s charming kitchen. An open counter with an eating bar overlooks the family room. When it’s not in use as a place to grab a snack or have some coffee, the wide countertop makes a great spot for decorations. The well-lit dining area toward the back gives you a cozy place to enjoy meals. Extra freezer space in the nearby utility room and the walk-in pantry provide plenty of food storage. Some options for the kitchen include a standalone cooktop, a deep farmhouse sink, and an impressive stone arch above the cooktop.
Two bedrooms and a full bathroom branch off from the kitchen. This bathroom can be converted into a Jack & Jill style bathroom, with two sinks, a door closing off the toilet and shower, and entry from both bedrooms.
Need more living space? The study room, normally open to the foyer, can be turned into another bedroom. Converting the study also adds space for small walk-in closets in two of the bedrooms.
An alternate layout for these living quarters turns the study into a mother in-law suite, complete with a full bathroom and walk-in closet. This also adds a walk-in closet to both of the other bedrooms and a different style Jack & Jill bathroom. This option is a great choice if you expect to host guests often.
The master suite is a quiet and private retreat on the other side of the home. There’s a small walk-in closet in the bedroom, and a much larger one in the bathroom. The bathroom also features two vanities, a walk-in shower, a secluded toilet, and a soaking tub to relax in.
Other features of the Driftwood include a powder room and hallway closet near the foyer, a 2.5 car garage that leads into the utility room, and an optional second floor bonus room. The bonus room is almost as large as the family room, and is a great place to turn into a game or media room. Choosing this option adds stairs near the smaller bedrooms.
